What is the Greece Digital Nomad Visa?
Greece’s Digital Nomad Visa allows remote workers employed by companies outside of Greece to live and work legally in the country for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Introduced in 2021 and updated in 2024, this visa has become one of Europe’s most attractive options for location-independent professionals.
Key Benefit: Visa-free travel across the 27-country Schengen Area while residing in Greece.
Income Requirement: €3,500/Month (2026)
The Greek government requires proof of stable monthly income of at least €3,500 (after tax) for the main applicant. This threshold was increased from €2,000 in 2024 to reflect cost of living adjustments.
Additional Income for Family Members
| Family Member | Additional Income Required |
|---|---|
| Spouse/Partner | +20% (€700/month) |
| Each Dependent Child | +15% (€525/month) |
Example: A couple applying together needs to show €4,200/month (€3,500 + €700).
